In this high-tech world, education is of paramount importance. It has grown from mere learning of the three R’s to the study of space and atomic structure through the help of powerful computers. Despite the new developments, the quality of the human life has not improved in values and principles. Education, as it is imparted today, does not succeed to bring the best out of a human being. The degeneration is because of the deviation from the original aim of education. Education now is looked upon as a means of ‘gaining’ and not one for ‘becoming’. Becoming is really a formation and formation inherently implies a transformation.
